Data Protection

Here at PFL we believe you should always know what data we collect from you and how we use it. Please read the following Data Protection Policy to help you to make the best decisions about the information that you share with us.

Visitors to Our Websites

When someone visits www.pfl.ie  we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

Customers

We store a limited amount of data for all our trade customers. If you are an existing customer, we are currently storing the following information about you:

  • Business Information (business name, address, and contact details)
  • Operational Information (sales orders, delivery notes, invoices, and credit notes)

Marketing

For marketing purposes, we store the business addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses of our trade customers. We use these to send marketing alerts based on legitimate interest. We send customers relevant marketing materials because we believe they are genuinely interested in receiving them and could find them beneficial to their business. Customers can op-out of our marketing alerts at any time they wish. Simply call us using any of the numbers at the bottom of this page or email us on sales@pfl.ie to opt-out. The quickest way to opt-out of email marketing is to click the "unsubscribe from this list" link at the bottom of any of our marketing emails.

Use of data

PFL will only use its customers' data for the following

  • Creating and monitoring sales orders and delivery notes
  • Raising and recording invoices and credit notes
  • Monitoring customer credit levels
  • Contacting customers to resolve operational issues
  • Sending out marketing alerts about news, promotions and upcoming events at PFL

Should we need to use customer data for any other reason, we will contact them first to ask for their consent. Only once consent has been explicitly given would we use customer data for anything other than the reasons set out above.

Access to your data

All of our customers are free to request access to their own data. To make an access request, please contact any of our sales numbers (at the bottom of this page) or email us on sales@pfl.ie. Your request will be handled as quickly as possible by our IT Manager who will contact you directly to organise the best time/method to access your data. This can be done digitally (via file download, screenshots, our customer webshop, or screen-sharing) or in person at any of our branches. We will fulfil all access requests within one month.

If any of our trade customers wish to withdraw their details from our business database or opt out of our marketing alerts, they are able to do so at any time. To make a withdrawal request, please contact any of our sales numbers (at the bottom of this page) or email us on sales@pfl.ie. Your request will be handled as quickly as possible by our IT Manager.
